Special Missions are unique missions that require certain conditions to be fulfilled to be unlocked, be it story advancement, clearing a series of missions in order, serving a specific lord, etc.
Usually these result in battle against unique enemy bosses, unlocking new features and playable characters, gaining special items or finding hidden easter eggs, but there may also be restrictions placed before or after the mission, usually accompained by a warning.
In rare cases, the mission may be limited to a simple cutscene, but most of the time play as regular missions.
