Tools play a very key part to completing missions as they increase in difficulty. Assault items, consumables and ninpos each support a different school of gameplay. Player owned tools will lie in the the tool list and can be bound to the tool belt using the direction pad relative to the buttons position. The grapple hook holds the down button is not rebound able.

The Tool list breaks down tools in ninja tools, medicine, materials and everything else or other. Tools can be both purchased at the store and sold for more money or they can be picked up through out missions. Some tools can be created using alchemy, the recipes for these tools can be given to the player by arrow message or they can be discovered by experimentation.

Four properties define how a tool can perform, these being its attack power, the suspicion the enemies will have over it, how charming it is to the enemy and it tastiness to hungry enemies.

Ninja Tools[]

Ninja tools are by majority damage dealing tools like shuriken and uzumibi, but the category also contains the magical ninpos, charming karakuri's, and the irresistible salmon.

They are five shuriken types all work in the same manner but with varying strength and utility. When thrown they do not move in an arc. Caltrop and uzumibis are placed on the ground relative to the player and only cause damage when the enemy steps on them.
